Green means go

Sana and I were out and about the other day and came across an intersection where we wanted to turn right. The light was red, and the guy in front of us was stopped. Even though he was in the right turn lane and it was perfectly safe and legal to turn, he refused to go. No cars coming, he just had it in his mind that the light is red, so that means “stop”.

And even after the light turned green and all the other cars began to go, this guy hesitated. He kind of moved forward a bit, but then stopped, then forward a bit more and stopped.

Finally, after a quick “love tap” from my vehicle’s horn, our friend mustered up the nerve to venture from the 694 off ramp, out into the great unknown expanse of Central Avenue in Fridley, MN, en route to his apparent final destination.

While it’s a bit comical to think about this guy and his tentativeness in driving, even moreso getting flustered over it, it reminded me that we oftentimes hesitate when the lights of our lives are “green”. God (or insert your preferred pronoun indicating the divine essence) has made it clear you should do so and so, but just like that driver in the right turn lane, we start to go, then stop, then start again, and stop. And sorry to say, it kind of impedes everyone else around us while we make up our mind whether or not to do what we should be doing.

Finally, after a divine “love tap” by way of our life circumstances, we get going and all is well.

My business is to help content creators who are not hesitating at the divine green lights. If you have a podcast idea, a book to turn into audio format, or perhaps a website to tell your story to the world, we can help with every step.

And we’ll even give a few “love taps” if you’re feeling stuck. It’s all part of the process.
