I wouldn’t allow anyone else to occupy her mind

Back when Sana and I met in March 2019, I knew within a very short time that getting her to be my wife was going to be my top priority in life.

We had established using WhatsApp as our mode of communication of choice, and I would literally send messages every hour on the hour, telling her things like, “You’re beautiful.” “You’re gorgeous.”

The digital medium equivalent of sweet nothings being whispered into the ear if we were in the same locale.

Yes, I had to actually have some substance to my character in order for her to take me seriously, but I’m convinced that persistence and always being top of mind prevented her from even taking any other potential suitor seriously.

Powerful lessons there for an entrepreneur of any stripe.

What deodorant do you buy when you go to Wal Mart?

Which guy or gal do you vote for to be County Commissioner?

Whoever has done the most to be “top of mind” in the consumer/electorate, etc.

There’s no substantial difference between deodorants, nor candidates to be county commissioner for that matter.

Whoever gets lodged into the mind of the consumer wins.

Like it or not, that’s the reality.

All that to say that Sana and I talked about our first days as “an item” – along with some really interesting things about the Persian culture when it comes to arranged marriages.

I was on the edge of my seat listening to her as we recorded, and I think you’ll find it fascinating too.

I invite you to give it a listen: https://flowjn.com/jns20oct
